How Am I Creative?

Creativity is such a personal journey—an expression that feels as natural as breathing yet as unique as a fingerprint. For me, creativity finds its home in the process of making art, but it extends far beyond the brush or carving tool.

In my studio, creativity comes alive through colors, textures, and forms. I let my intuition guide me—sometimes the idea arrives fully formed, like a whisper, and other times, it evolves through experimentation, happy accidents, and hours of immersion. Each painting or linocut is a dialogue between my imagination and the materials, shaped by inspiration from nature, emotions, or even fleeting moments.

But creativity isn’t just what happens in the studio. It’s in how I approach challenges, find solutions, and design a life that balances art, family, and other responsibilities. It’s in the quiet decisions—like experimenting with new drying angles for a painting—or in the bigger choices, like hosting pop-up exhibitions in unexpected places or building a virtual art club to connect with people worldwide.

For me, creativity also thrives in connection. When I interact with others, whether through my art or conversations, I feel inspired to think differently, explore new ideas, and continue growing. It’s a constant loop—creating to inspire and being inspired to create.

How am I creative? By listening to my heart and the feelings I want to express, embracing imperfection, and daring to explore the unknown. To me, creativity is both a way of making and a way of being.
