Lately, I’ve been painting birds, but it’s not the first time I’m doing that.
Several years ago, (oh, that made me feel old…!😱), I did some tiny painting, using only one colour in the palette.
Using fancy words, I did a series of monochromatic watercolour studies.
Limiting the palette, aka number of colours, forces you to focus on the shadows, shape and texture in a much greater way. And I learned a lot doing that.
Below, you can see all of them. Which one did you like the most?
I’m not sure which is my favorite, it kind of changes every time I find them. And also, I can’t decide on putting them for sale or not. And if doing it, I don’t know whether to cut the birds in singular cards, split them, or sell it as a set with all the birds.
