It was like this. Being yourself in too small a container. Too little room, too little space. Not being able to reach out and feel the full length of my body, not feeling my whole self, not feeling the full expanse of my soul. Who was I outside this definition? Could I exist? Could I flourish?
This thought-provoking piece captures the feeling of being confined and restricted, expressed through the powerful words: “It was like this. Being yourself in too small a container.” The painting invites reflection on the struggle of living within limits, unable to fully stretch and explore one’s true potential. It symbolizes the yearning to break free from boundaries, to experience life and identity in their fullest, uncontained form.
